It's Potty Time!!!! July 16, 2009

Mommy and Daddy bought a stool and an Elmo potty insert for home. Jake sat on it this weekend and wasn't too happy. I sent this photo to the family. Rob was so impressed with Jake's technique he showed some of the coaches. He only hoped that when he turned to face the camera he didn't miss.
Ms. Allison is the "potty whisperer". She graduated all two year olds to the 3 year class room and they were all potty trained. Lets hope Jake can keep up with the big kids. Jake has tinkled but hasn't had a full pee pee. He talks about #2 but we aren't there yet. Ms. Allison brings the kids in shifts to learn. The boys watch each other and learn by wanting to be a "big boy".

Jake's art at school.

Jake's first day in the "big two class". Ms. Allison wrote this note:
"Jake had a great day. He has adjusted wonderfully and loves his new friends. He is so sweet and I can't wait to watch him grow in this next year! I absolutlely love the random sweet kisses he gives"!
These photos below are of his class with Ms. Chelsea.

Jake and Alix are moving in July to their new class with Ms. Allison and Ms. Beth. Jake's school director Heather said that Jake did great in his 1/2 day with the big 2 year olds. He was having so much fun he had a "mini fit". We were happy with the report and giggled about the fit.

Jake's table for lunch and snacks. I am waiting on a photo of him drinking out of a glass with

Jake was in the zone watching the fireworks shot over the lake in Coppell. He stayed up till 10:30pm and he was not grumpy.
Jake and Alix hanging out waiting for the fireworks to start. They did great, of course the snacks helped keep them happy.
What a sweet smile.

Swimming fun!

Lots of fun with our new grass area for the bounce house or playing in the tunnel. Its snack time by the pool. What a tough life for two year olds.
Pool side with popciles. It is one of the many ways to get Jake into the pool. We also use lots of balls to get him in. Jake is doing great jumping off the side to us. He likes that he makes a big splash.

Happy 2nd Birthday! Its all about bouncing, bubbles, and balls!

Yummy I love cake!
Great shots of all the kids coming down the slide attached to the bounce house. The kids were champs in the 105 degree weather.
Jake's birthday kiss from Ms. Alix!!
Nana and Auntie made the trip to Texas for Jake's big day. By day two he was saying "Nana and Auntie" and pronounced them well.
Let's take Nana and Auntie out for BBQ.

June 2009 Happy Birthday to you!

Jake's 2nd birthday photo "shoot". Yes he did make the shot. Mommy brought lots of props so he would smile for the camera. The photographer was impressed with his skills.
Our newest family photo Jake just turned two!

Jake is really loving baseball. Mommy is teaching him the proper stance and swing. He is able to hit both left and right. He also knows to shag the ball. Jake's has really embraced books. He loves to read before bed. Our routine is 3 books and then "night night". Jake kisses Mommy or Daddy, Elmo, Fishy, and then he gets his boats swinging above his crib.

Jake loved his popsicle at school. Ms. Heather said he signed more more more.
Daddy's 40th birthday present for us to relax in the yard.
Yummy we love carrott cake!
June is the birthday month for the George Family. Daddy is first with his 40th. Mommy made a great book and had friends and family contribute some great memories.

May 2009 I have become a climber. "Take me out to the ball game"

Jake's first time at the Ballpark. Daddy got tickets from work in the 3rd row behind home plate. Mommy likes great seats so we were set. Jake did great following the game. We asked him were the ball was and he pointed to the pitcher. He would yell when the ball was hit. He started to stand on the steps and pitch. Then he spread his legs out far in a stance just like the umpire.
Of course when the music started he was a dancing machine. Jake had so much fun we stayed for all 9 innings. I think Daddy was ready to go before Jake.

Love that carb diet, a giant pretzel, chips, popcorn and "fishies".
Jake is enjoying coloring with crayons and markers.

Jake and Alix hanging out after their nightly walk.

Jake has really started to become a climber. Daddy caught him one night on the rail of his bed. Legs swung over and ready to drop. Mommy had to cut off his bumper so he couldn't boost himself up. On Mothers Day we went to the big park and Jake was running and climbing everywhere. He would go up and down the slide over and over again. He is also likes to attack the couch. He is scaling the pillows to climb across the top edge.

The weather is great and it is daylight savings so we are outside as much as possible. Our walks with Alix, Baby TJ and Nikki are really fun. Jake looks at all mow mow's, airplanes, and make sure I see all the Basketball hoops we pass. He will say "MOMMMMMMMY basketball" I have to say yes I see back or he will keep yelling and pointing at them. We have started using Alix and TJ's double stroller. Jake and Alix ride side by side. They hug and kiss one another, want each others snacks and their is the occasional kick of the leg. They will play peek a boo and just crack each other up.
Jake has started a cute sleep routine. He loves his books and climbs up on the chair for Dave and I to read to him. After 2 books we say "night night" to Elmo and Fishy. Jake gives them a kiss and if I am lucky I get one too. His favorite book is the Happy Man and his Truck or Old McDonald has a Farm. Jake will sing part of the book when you show it to him.
