What a fun group we are!

Santa was really sweet and talkative to Jake. He asked him what he wanted and showed him the golden key to get into the house for the gift drop off. Jake smiled and waved good bye.

You are never to old to take a photo with Santa.

After this weekend of decorating for Christmas Jake was ready for Santa. Ms. Leslie at school said Jake talked non stop about lights, trees and Santa!!!!

November Teacher Conference with Ms. Leslie

Ms Leslie is Jake's preschool teacher. We have never seen him become attached to a teacher so quickly. She is doing an amazing job bringing up his confidence. Each time Jake says " I can't do it", she takes the time to show him he can. If he doesn't want to try something new to eat, she says "how old are you Jake"? He says "3", so she then says "ok take 3 bites", by the 3rd bite he mostly likes what he has for breakfast or lunch. Parker and Wesley are his friends at school. They go everywhere together. Parker is very outgoing and Wesley is more shy like Jake. Jake is right on track with all his subjects and tasks for his age. He loves the computer and does not like to share it. They have stations through out the day and he has to be told to move onto the next activity. He loves to color on plain white paper. Ms. Leslie showed us a book that tracks each month and their skills of cutting, threading, pictures, drawing a line, writing/tracing their name. It is very interesting to see from September to November the progress he is making.
A funny story Ms. Leslie told us: Jake learned how to zip and unzip jackets. He is mostly in a sweatshirt, so his job when the kids get on their jackets to play outside is to zip up the jackets of his class. Did I mention that there are 3 boys and 7 girls in his class.

November Jakes 1st sleep over!

Jake had his first sleep over at the Bourland's House. He did great! He played with Alix and TJ. They watched a movie with popcorn and then to bed. Nikki laughed when he had to go potty since she wasn't sure how much help he needed standing. The next morning I called at 8am, they were still asleep. Normally they are all up by 7 or 7:30am. When I went to pick him up he said "oh hi Mommy". He was smiling. Nikki said when he woke up he asked where is Mr. Todd, no mention to M & D. Well thats ok with us, we know he is happy with the Bourlands.
Jake making Mommy nervous as makes this climb with ease.
Jake and TJ feeding the ducks.
"Set up that bounce house we need the kids to get tired out". A Sunday afternoon after the kids get up from their naps. We need to tire them out for later. Jake, Alix and TJ jumped for over an hour.

They are so sweet sliding together. It is so much fun seeing them interact, both playing and the fighting that follows.
This is not staged. My how young men learn to read and poop. Jake is looking at a Baseball Savings magazine.

How about this little Fireman?

Yummy pop pop too!

"Nights" with Jake!

It's a cool Oktober night and we took Jake into the spa. He loved it and kept wanting to swim. The next day Mommy took him to the indoor pool with Nikki, Alix and TJ to swim laps.

Daddy and Jake playing ball.
Nightly sleep routine is so much fun for us. Jake comes home and watches one of his favorite shows. (Jungle Junction, Mickey Mouse Club House, Dino Dan, George, and others) We have dinner and play for a bit then it is time for a shower with Daddy. He helps clean off the shower glass and the step leading out. Mommy dresses him since its cool in the winter here but if its hot its undies like Daddy. He races to be first at all activities. Daddy has to dress slow, so he can say "I beat you"! He gets his stool brushes teeth and goes potty. Most of the time he has a car or train in his hand to look and play with during these activities. Jake announces who reads books first. Most of the time Daddy is first with 2 books and Mommy is 2nd with one book. Some nights he will ride into the room on his scooter to announce it is my turn. It is quite a cute site watching a 3 year old balance on a scooter in his Buzz undies. He loves to beat you into the room and hide behind Daddy sitting in the chair. You can't find him too soon or he gets mad.
Getting into bed means a couple trains, cars or Buzz. Kisses and hugs plus we end with bunches and bunches is how much we love each other. :) Jake will also ask if Mommy and Daddy are going to bed too.

Halloween = Buzz Time!

The end of a fun night tricker treating, eatting candy and the World Series!

What a cute Buzz Family.
Jake and Alix ran to the door of each house. Little TJ tried to keep us with them.

OOOHHHHHH Spider!
"Trick or Treat"
"Mommy they gave me candy", was Jake's response after each house. Then before they got to the sidewalk he would say "can we go to another one"?
What a cutie!!!!
He really loved dressing as Buzz. A fews before I had him try it on. It is one piece and knew it would be hard to put on him. He gets irritated with tight clothes. I was smart enough to put him on my bed, so he could see himself in a mirror. He loved it! The wings are on with string over the shoulders and you blow them up. I had to hide the outfit so he wouldn't want to wear it. Heck it's mostly white and he is 3.

Sunshine House School Parade with Sammy in his Buzz costume.
Jake and his buddy Parker line up for the parade.
Alix as the Princess and taking charge!
