September 2008 Our baby becomes a toddler at school.

Jake moved in September into the Toddler room with Ms Chelsea.
He loves that shopping cart.
Jake's 1st school photo. He was crying at the site of the photograher and Ms. Heather had to work hard to get him calm for this shot.
Jake loves our cell phones and running across the couch. What a great smile.

August 2008 From fun in the park to our 1st haircut!

July in the park. Jake takes his ball with him everywhere. It is a good ice breaker for when he is being shy.

Chloe was hot and tired on our walk so she joined Jake in his wagon.

What a cute family photo after dinner at the Hard 8 BBQ. Jake is really starting to like big people food. Texture and be problem, yes you guessed it he will spit it right out. He loves the smoked turkey breast and Daddy's apple cobbler.

Love that cute haircut. It was a lot of work to get it.

My first haircut. Oh boy did we all have fun. I sat on Daddy' s lap while Mommy held my arms down. I cried a lot, but I didn't want that man touching my hair. I stopped cried immediately after the haircut was done. I go from 0 to 60 to keep everyone on their toes.

July 2008 Parades, walks and Jake's first kiss.

After our nightly 3 mile walk Alix gave Jake a kiss goodbye. I know later we won't be encouraging kissing, but darn they are cute.

Jake is eatting pretty well. We are told he is the neatest eater at school. Mommy and Daddy are letting him go wild with the pasta.
Jake's birthday wagon is the real metal one from the "old days", he loves to be pulled on walks with Daddy in it. The dogs follow close by.

Alix and Jake love the park, we try to go as often as we can. Jake loved the slide but didn't like the swing at first. Alix taught Jake to call the swing a "weeeee".

Coppell's 4th of July Parade

Jake loved the music coming from the cars. It was very hot! Yes I know Texas in July is not cool. :)

June 28th - Jake's 1st Birthday and Dr's check up

Happy 1st Birthday to our special boy.

Mommie had a 4th of July theme. I hadn't had cake till my big day, but I loved it on the first try. All weekend long I would look up when people had cake and I would get a mouthful. Mommy and Daddy used cake to get me to walk for the first time without holding on to anything. I took 3 steps back and forth from Mommy to Daddy. Nana, Auntie and Cousin Austin watched it all and cheered.

Nana, Auntie Cath and cousin Austin flew in for his big birthday weekend.
We went to Dr. Scott's for my big check up. I am 22 pounds and 28.5 inches long. I am still have a large head - lots of brains but I am on the short side. No problem all the brains will make up for it. I have started eatting all the foods that Mommy and Daddy give me. I spit some stuff out because it feels weird. I love my new milk. No more forumla, whole milk for me. I am also not using a bottle. I like my sippy cup and done great holding it. Strawberries are my favorite food, I will eat it anytime I am given it.
June 30th we went to Dr. Scott for his one year check up. 4 shots were given a few tears and a scream and he was all set. He is in the 50% for weight 10% in height (up from 5%) and his head is 90%. It just means he is short, chuncky with a lot of brains. We have now gone from part formula to all whole milk. We also made the switch in less than a week from the bottle to a sippy cup. It is not fun how quickly they grow up.

How perfect is this? Jake loves to be outside and see all the action. He loves to watch Mommy's tires next to him spin.
We have to put the helmet on just as Daddy is ready to go. Soon Mommy and Daddy will have to get a helmet.

Jake just wanted to stand next to Mr Bear.
He seems to be on track to walk by his 1st birthday. He took two steps at daycare and will now walk one handed with Mommy and Daddy. In the beginning of the month Jake had to go in for ear tubes. He had 6 ear infections since December. His 1st surgery, but he was only asleep for 15 minutes. We came home and he slept for most of the day. He awoke really happy so went to buy Mommy a new car. Our new Honda Pilot to take Jake around.

Jake had two Easter Egg Hunts. The first was on Saturday by the City of Coppell. Max and Alix were also there. Next year we should see some pushing to get to the eggs. Mommy and Daddy had to carry Jake to get his eggs.

Jake and the Tulips March 2008

When I was pregnant last year all I could think about is a picture of the baby in the Tulips. These were taken at my office backyard. Jake was much more interested in the flowers, dirt and grass then smiling for the camera.
