Jake, Mommy and Daddy headed to the dentist on Monday afternoon. When we got there he had a great time playing with all the toys. Of course we didn't say the doctor word. He gets very timid and shy with the doctors. Usually by the end of the appointment he will give a "high five" and say thank you. The dentist was very sweet and gave us lots of information. Daddy sat on the chair and Jake sat with him. He played with the trucks and the minute the dentist touched his mouth he cried. He was so funny. We told her to keep going he will stop when she does. Everything looks great and he got a prize when we left.
Jake loves TRUCKS!
When we drive in the car Jake will yell out trucks he sees. Dave and I can't believe how he spots them so far away. Now he will say the color of the truck too. His favorite is the Garbage Truck. He hears it in the neighborhood and looks out the window to see if it has passed the house. When it goes down the alley he says its going to Alix's house. When we are walking on Saturday mornings he gets so excited because we will see and hear the trucks most of the walk.
The other day a Fire Truck passed as we were leaving school. Jake says "Mommy catch the truck, go that way", of course I did and we follow them. Not too closely but enough that Jake could see it.

February = More Snow, and our new camera man!
Max, Jake, Jenna for Max's 3rd Birthday party! Its all about CARS and Cake!
The most snow in over 80 years hits Dallas. Jake would like the snow off his house. We had over 8 inches in one day.
February at school. These kids are growing up too fast!
Alix told their new teacher that Jake Jake, was her husband. The next week a new boy started at school and how quickly Jake was replaced.
Ms. Heather wrote us this email:
Ok...I cannot resist telling you guys this story about your kids! We have a new little boy in Ms. Allison's class that started today. Alix and the little boy were playing together...Jake came over and Alix put her hands on her hips and said "This is my new boyfriend!" Jake said "NO!" Alix said "Find something else!". Jake ran to Ms. Allison and 'told' on her! They eventually all played together. As we were all watching this unravel...we were uncontrollably laughing! Oh...you guys are in for it when they are teenagers! :)
That night she told her mommy that Jake was still her boyfriend. I can't believe she knew the words boyfriend and husband.
Jake is back to be interested in potty training. Ms. Allison sent this note home with us:
I wanted to update ou on Jake's sweet potty adventure! He is doing so great, and am sure he will get this very soon. After being wet on Wednesday he hasn't gone pee pee anywhere but in and on and around the potty. He pooped early this morning, so I arrived we were in the clear to wear his elmo underwear. Its funny how kids amaze you. He stayed dry almost the whole day. He tried to pee in the potty... he just moved and his the floor and his clothes. I was so proud of him. We washed his clothes and put them back in underwear. . . oops until he pooped. It is so good that he is feeling the feeling of "this is yucky"! We are still working and he is accomplishing great things. I am so proud of him. Now I have him in a pull up and underwear over it. Thanks for being involved. Love Ms. Allison.
That same week he came home with a sticker. He was able to get it out of the "treasure chest" because he was being a good listener at school.

Nana's 70th Birthday in Lake Tahoe. . . .SNOW
Our whole family together!

Auntie, Daddy and Jake on a sled ride.
January Its a cold month, so lets play at the firehouse and go to the McDonalds playground!!!!
The weather has been very cold this month. We can't play outside so we are off to the McDonalds playground. Jake and Alix climb up and around as TJ uses the small slide. They have a great time through the tunnels and slides. Jake is learning how yummy those Happy Meals are. Plus the toys that come with them. We usually last there for about 1 hour 1/2.
January 31 Big boy bed for Jake.
January is a big step. Jake went down for his nap. A few minutes later someone grabbed Mommies leg. Guess who climbed out of his crib. Jake had a huge smile on his face, he was so proud. I told him back to bed and he climb back into his crib. A few minutes later guess who was back. This went on for about 45 minutes. We gave up and said ok time for your new bed. We bought Jake's mattresses the day before and were ready.
Sunday night Jake took about 1hour and 1/2 to finally go to sleep. He kept climbing off the back end of the bed. Using his laundry bin to step down. Down the hallway he comes to see Mommy and Daddy watching TV. We sent him back, laid with him until he finally fell asleep. Monday and Tuesday night was the same. Then Wednesday night he woke at 1:00am and luckily Mommy hears everything. He got up walked down the hall to the kitchen. He was looking for light and thought we were up. I followed him in and told him we were in bed. I showed him Daddy sleeping and said we need to go to sleep. Back to bed he went, but he continued to get up and come see me for the next 1hour and 40 minutes. He was very cranky at school that day and was not being a good helper. When we explained our sleep time they just giggled. Jake has now slept in his bed and waits for us to get him in the mornings. He is doing just great.
